Together in Electric Dreams. Absent Presence - in Athens

Beton7 presents part of the exhibition Together in Electric Dreams. Absent Presence by the House of Electronic Arts Basel, Switzerland, curated by Raffael Doerig. The exhibition addresses the absent presence, one of the fundamental aspects of our electronic lives. Whether talking on the phone, tuning in to a live broadcast, chatting, skyping, streaming, or watching webcam images, we find ourselves suspended in the interim zone shadowed by the absent presence. We are present in a shared space or moment of communication, experience the same spectrum of perception yet, in physical terms, we are simultaneously worlds apart.
